 I thought

I thought nobody noticed my smell
I thought they wouldn't vomit
I thought
I watched
I watched everyone run away once they smelled me
I wished
I wished I didn't smell so pungent
And I wished too much
When my smell is at fault, what do you do?
When you get to smile, when you get to breathe
But you ask yourself "Why does the air smell so bad everywhere I go?"
That is what I thought
As I smelled myself all alone
